Description
Scarlet Sage, a native North American wildflower offers a bright splash of color. This vase-shaped shrub grows to about 24 to 30 inches tall but can reach up to 4-feet-tall in subtropical climates. Scarlet Sage seeds quickly grow into attractive triangular leaves of matte dusty green.
It features bright red flowers, tubular-shaped, on spirals that measure between 10 and 12 inches long.

Tips for Growing Scarlet Sage Seeds
As a wildflower, salvia should be planted on top of the soil to receive sunlight. In zones 9-11, plant out any time between February and November. Alternatively, you can start them indoors in cell trays.
In temperate climates, start indoors or outdoors once soil temperatures reach 75 degrees.
