Description

If you live around the Gulf Coast or the Caribbean, you’ve probably heard of these edible flowers and are looking for roselle seeds.

Sometimes called Florida Cranberry or Jamaican Sorrel, roselle features edible calyxes, leaves, and flowers.

The calyxes are used to make a tangy relish in parts of the Americas where you can’t grow cranberry (too hot). Except Roselle is less bitter than cranberries with a lemony undertone.

The leaves are great for salads and the flowers can be used in tea or jam.

Roselle adds a sweet and sour note and packs plenty of nutrition, being a low-calorie source of potassium, calcium, and vitamin C.

Our Roselle seeds are heirloom, non-GMO. Roselle is a tender perennial and suitable for growing in Zones 9-12. In cooler zones, you can grow it as an annual for harvest or plant in a container for overwinter indoors.

In Zones 9-12, plant out up to 30 days before first frost. Protect with frost cloth when temperatures dip below 40°F.
