Description
Cape Plumbago (Plumbago auriculata) is a beautiful climbing flowering bush that’s evergreen and blooms year-round.
A classic favorite in Southern gardens for Butterflies and Bees.
It is often called “Sky Flower” because it will begin to climb up fences and trees if allowed.
Cape Plumbago grows 6 to 10 feet high and 8 to 10 feet wide. It’s a super easy landscape plant that rarely needs more than a good haircut once or twice a year once established.
A native to South Africa, Plumbago does well across the Gulf Coast, from Texas to Florida. It loves full sun and plenty of rainfall.
USDA Hardiness Zones 9 – 11, Grow in Containers in Zones 6 to 8 for overwintering indoors.

You will receive one cape plumbago plant, size as shown (about 12-14″ tall when potted) shipped in a grow bag and ready for planting out.
We also only ship plants by Priority Mail from Mondays to Wednesdays to reduce the chances of plant damage, overheating, or chilling. Please let us know if you are currently experiencing extreme weather conditions so we can take any extra care in packaging your plant.
