Description
Wild Sunflowers, or Helianthus annuus, are the original North American native flower from which all current varieties derive.
With multiple blooms upon tall stalks that can reach up to 6 feet high, these sunny flowers are only 3 to 4 inches across.
They attract butterflies, bees, and birds to the garden and provide a dramatic backdrop to any wildflower garden.
They’ll germinate best when the soil temperature reaches 70°F and should germinate in 7-10 days under those conditions. They’ll bloom in 11 to 18 weeks from germination.
